Who or What Is ISO?

The International Organisation for Standardization, (ISO), was formed in 1946 by 25 Civil Engineers. It aims at achieving consensus across Europe to have consistent specifications for any given subject matter.

These individuals may work together in joint commissions. This is reflected in some ISO standards. ISO/IEC refers, for instance to the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission joint committee.

How important is ISO today?

ISO has grown from its Civil Engineering roots. It has more than 30,000 standards. They cover everything from quality and food safety to information security and manufacturing standards. ISO provides the unique ability to order a Credit Card and use it at any reader in the UK or France.

Shipping containers are perhaps the most easily recognized symbol of standardization. It was not created by ISO. However, they adopted it in 1968 as their “Standard Box”. This standard gave vehicle manufacturers, shipbuilders, handling agents, and shipping agents one set of dimensions.

WHAT IS ISO Certification?

ISO Certification can be a seal of approval by an external body indicating that a company is compliant with one of the ISO Management Systems internationally recognized.

There are many reasons you might want to use a management software system. Your chances of success in tenders could be increased, internal efficiency can be improved, or you can simply show your potential customers that it is credible.

Each standard has its benefits. However, there are some common benefits. These include increased market potential and compliance with procurement tenders. Cost savings and efficiency improvements, better customer service, and satisfaction, as well as higher morale and motivation. You can show your customers you care by having a recognized management system.

The best way to find the right management system to fit your business’ needs is to talk to us.

Step2.Contact Us

If you haven’t already done so, please contact our team of Best Practice Certification account managers to discuss your needs. Once we have received your information, we will book an appointment with one or more of our consultants to review it. We will then send you a proposal following this visit.

We take pride in making the process as smooth as possible.

Once you accept our proposal we will arrange the first assessment with one or more of our highly-skilled Lead Auditors. They will then conduct a gap study to identify the necessary works to ensure compliance.

Step 3. Documentation Preparation

We can help you prepare documentation to include the mandatory procedures required by the Standard. This will be in line with your current company procedures.

Step4: Certification

After ensuring that all requirements are met and we have received your ISO certification, we will send it to you.

We support continuous improvement in the systems. Every six months, we review your progress and ensure you’re ready to recertify each year.

Step 5. Maintaining Compliance

Management systems encourage continuous improvement in your products and services. To ensure that your management system is always up-to-date, you will need to constantly maintain it.

We will come back to you within six months to do an internal review. Our auditor will assist you in this review and give feedback on how the system is performing at that time. If there are any problems with your recertification audit, the auditor will speak with you to discuss it and provide you with clear instructions on how you can fix it.

As the annual re-certification audit approaches you, our internal review can help you feel more supported. Failure to be recertified is extremely rare.
